At Rutgers, the response has been immediate, with three Scarlet Knights — Julius Rosado, Joey Erace and Andrew Rondini — publicly confirming their intent to transfer.
Rosado, a freshman infielder, posted a .277 average with 7 hits, 12 RBIs and 10 runs while also logging 27 put‑outs, 47 assists and a .949 fielding percentage. Erace, also a freshman infielder, contributed 13 hits, a home run, 7 RBIs and 13 runs, pairing a .965 fielding average with 41 put‑outs and 42 assists. Rondini, a sophomore right‑hander, appeared in 11 games, throwing 25 innings and striking out 20 batters against a 2.16 earned‑run average.
Their departures follow a season in which Rutgers saw a significant erosion of pitching depth through the portal, prompting the administration to seek fresh talent and stabilize the roster.
