Peabody High School names new head coaches for girls soccer and field hockey

Silva and Frank step into leadership roles, bringing experience and community focus

Peabody High School announced this week that Katrina Silva and Kimberly Frank have taken over as head coaches for girls soccer and field hockey, marking a new chapter for the school’s athletic programs.

A Fresh Coaching Era

Silva, a former Peabody captain and All‑Northeastern Conference standout, returns to her alma mater after a distinguished playing and coaching career that includes stints at youth clubs, high schools and select teams in the region. She played four years at Delaware State University, serving as a two‑year captain and starter, and now brings that experience to the soccer field.

Frank, who has spent a decade leading the school’s sub‑varsity field hockey team while working in the guidance department, is also a former college athlete. Her goal is to boost participation, partner with boosters and raise the program’s visibility within the community.

Dennis Desroches, the Athletic Director, praised both hires, highlighting Silva’s passion and dedication and Frank’s positivity and enthusiasm for the sport and her students.

Together, the new coaches aim to strengthen the school’s athletic offerings and foster greater engagement among students and families, signaling a promising future for Peabody sports.
