The Oregon baseball team will host an NCAA regional starting May 29 at PK Park in Eugene, continuing a tradition that began last year.
The Ducks, who finished third in the Big Ten this season, earned the hosting rights after a late‑season surge that included victories over Washington and Nebraska and a run to the conference championship game.
In that championship matchup, Oregon fell to UCLA, but the performance underscored the team’s ability to compete with the league’s elite.
Last year the Ducks advanced to the regional round before being eliminated, and the program hopes to improve on that result with home‑field advantage and the experience of players such as Alec Dietz.
A chance for redemption
The regional will feature a field of teams competing for a spot in the super‑regional round, and the Ducks are eager to translate their conference success into deeper postseason play.
Fans and alumni have rallied around the program, anticipating a lively atmosphere at the historic PK Park as the team looks to extend its season.
