Kansas Baseball to Host NCAA Regionals at Hoglund Ballpark
The University of Kansas will welcome the NCAA baseball Regionals to Hoglund Ballpark in Lawrence from May 29 through June 1, marking the first time the facility has hosted the tournament in school history. The four‑day stretch will feature up to seven games in a double‑elimination format, drawing teams from across the country.
Hoglund Ballpark has undergone a series of upgrades that boost its capacity by roughly 60 percent, allowing about 4,000 spectators to attend. A new lawn‑chair zone called “The Backyard” has been created beyond left field, giving fans a relaxed spot to watch the action. At the same time, the visiting team’s bullpen has been relocated, freeing the former site for a reserved standing‑room area equipped with a tent and concessions.
Ticketing and Student Benefits
Ticket sales are offered either as an all‑session pass or as individual game tickets, with reserved seating in the grandstands. Prices range from $25 for entry to The Backyard up to $50 for Reserved Chairback seats. Students with a valid KU ID can pick up free tickets at the Allen Fieldhouse Ticket Office, while additional student tickets are available for $10.
Parking, Tailgating and the Crimson Club
Parking is provided in several designated lots, all of which offer free access and designated tailgating zones. The Crimson Club inside Allen Fieldhouse will remain open for fans who prefer an indoor viewing experience, requiring no ticket for entry. For those looking to enhance their gameday, tailgate tents can be purchased through REVELxp.
