Auburn Baseball Secures Fourth Regional Host Bid in Five Years

Auburn University’s baseball program has once again been selected as a regional host, marking the fourth time in the past five seasons that the Tigers will open Plainsman Park to the NCAA tournament.

A Historic Run for the Tigers

The announcement came Monday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN2, highlighting a historic run that began well before 2022 when the Tigers had hosted only four regionals in their entire history. In the last five years the school has effectively doubled that total, placing it alongside North Carolina as one of only two programs to earn a regional host bid in four of the last five seasons.

Head coach Butch Thompson said he is excited to showcase postseason baseball at Plainsman Park and to celebrate the players, coaches, supporters and university administration who have made the achievement possible.

Ticket Sales and Postseason Schedule

The regional games will be held Friday through Monday at Plainsman Park, with a full slate of matchups culminating in a championship game before the field advances to the next round. A limited number of all‑session tickets reserved for Auburn students are now available via AUBTIX.com, while general‑public all‑session tickets will go on sale Monday following the NCAA selection show.

Tigers Unlimited members will receive an email with additional priority ticketing information, ensuring that the most loyal fans have early access to the games.
