Selection Show Details
The NCAA announced that the 2026 baseball tournament bracket will be released on Monday, May 25, at noon Eastern Time, with the live broadcast airing on ESPN2. The announcement marks the official start of the championship pathway for the 64 teams that have earned their spots.
Sixteen of the highest‑seeded programs will serve as regional hosts, guaranteeing them the opportunity to play on their home fields for the opening round. Advancing through those regionals will place eight teams in super‑regional sites, where the same home‑field advantage will apply if they progress further.
Automatic qualification will be granted to twenty‑nine teams that capture their respective conference tournament titles, while the remaining thirty‑five positions will be filled through at‑large selections made by the NCAA selection committee.
Fans can follow the action on ESPN2 and stream the coverage through the ESPN app or Fubo, which is offering a complimentary trial for new users.
Regional competition is slated to begin on Friday, May 29, and will conclude on Monday, June 1. The subsequent super‑regionals will run from Friday, June 5, through Monday, June 8, setting the final eight teams that will advance to the College World Series.
The Men's College World Series itself is scheduled to commence on Friday, June 12, and will wrap up on either Sunday, June 21, or Monday, June 22, depending on the pace of play and any necessary rescheduling.
