Homecoming on the Field
Jayden Limar, a senior running back for the Washington Huskies, grew up in Lake Stevens and starred at Lake Stevens High School before embarking on a college career that took him to Oregon and now back to the Pacific Northwest.
On July 11, Limar will open the doors of his alma mater to host a youth football camp aimed at children aged four through fourteen. The event promises drills, mentorship and the chance for youngsters to learn from the Huskies’ current backfield.
Having transferred from the Oregon Ducks, where he amassed 442 rushing yards and four touchdowns while also catching a 207‑yard, one‑touchdown reception, Limar’s journey has been marked by perseverance. A spring ankle injury kept him out of the Ducks’ training sessions, but he is now fully recovered and eager to contribute.
Coach Fisch has expressed confidence that Limar will be ready for the start of fall camp in August, signaling that the running back’s presence will add depth to the Huskies’ offense as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Beyond the gridiron, Limar sees the camp as an opportunity to give back to the community that shaped him, hoping to inspire the next generation of athletes to pursue both sport and personal growth.
