Colorado’s football program marked a productive Sunday afternoon by officially adding two prospects to its 2027 recruiting class.
A rising star in the Rockies
The first of those additions is cornerback Prince Washington, a Houston native who chose the Buffaloes over several other programs, including several in‑state contenders.
Though currently unranked by the major services, Washington is viewed as a player on the rise, with many analysts expecting him to break into the national top tier before the next signing window.
His pledge brings the Buffaloes’ total commitments to eight, making him the fifth defensive player in a class that has already begun to climb both conference and national rankings.
Coach Deion Sanders, who has made a habit of flipping high‑profile talent, highlighted the significance of the commitment, emphasizing the program’s growing appeal to elite prospects.
The influx of defensive talent reflects a strategic focus on bolstering the secondary, a move that could reshape the team’s defensive identity as the new coaching staff takes shape.
