World Sevens Football Returns to London

The World Sevens Football tournament, a seven‑a‑side women's competition, will take place in London from Thursday 28 May to Saturday 30 May, marking the first time the event is staged in England.

Matches will be played on a pitch half the size of a standard field, divided into two 15‑minute halves for a total playing time of 30 minutes, and will dispense with the offside rule to emphasise speed and creativity.

Eight teams from the Women's Super League and its second tier will contest the event, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Everton, London City Lionesses, West Ham and Leicester.

The competition is split into groups, with the top two from each advancing to the semi‑finals and final, both scheduled for the concluding day.

Sky Sports will broadcast every match live, with streaming available on the NOW platform, ensuring fans across the globe can follow the action in real time.

The tournament follows two previous editions held in Estoril, Portugal, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, building on a growing reputation for delivering high‑octane, entertaining football.

Among the star players expected to feature are England internationals Nikita Parris and Jordan Nobbs, who will add their experience and flair to the squads.
