The Florida Gators concluded a whirlwind stretch in the 2026 SEC Tournament, dispatching the Vanderbilt Commodores 8‑3 before a dominant run‑rule victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide that sent them to the quarterfinals. Their run ended against the Georgia Bulldogs, the eventual champions, who boasted four All‑Tournament selections of their own.
Among the Gators’ standouts, freshman Blake Cyr and sophomore Ethan Surowiec earned spots on the 2026 SEC All‑Tournament Team. Cyr posted a .692/.714/1.462 slash line, amassing 19 total bases that included two homers, a triple, two doubles, six runs and a walk. Surowiec wasn’t far behind, hitting .500/.571/.917 with a homer, two doubles, four runs, four RBIs and two walks.
Looking Ahead
Florida joined a short list of schools that placed multiple players on the All‑Tournament roster, a testament to the depth of their lineup. While Georgia claimed the tournament crown with four honorees, Arkansas and Auburn each contributed two players to the accolades.
