The Wyoming Cowboys are gearing up for the upcoming season after a whirlwind offseason that saw nearly 50 new faces join the program.
While the team managed to hold onto core contributors such as Samuel Harris, Dante Drake and Jayden Williams, it also said goodbye to several key playmakers, including top receiver Chris Durr Jr., and cornerbacks Tyrese Boss and Markie Grant.
A Roster in Flux
Among the newcomers is graduate transfer quarterback Tyler Hughes, who brings experience from William & Mary, and defensive tackle Ja'Quan Redfern, a former Murray State standout whose high school career included a 33‑tackle game despite a recent injury.
The roster also welcomes back 1,000‑yard rusher Markell Holman and a group of interior linemen, adding depth to the offensive line.
Head coach Jay Sawvel has acknowledged the challenges of integrating so many newcomers while navigating injuries, especially at the defensive tackle position.
