On Monday, May 25, Pinkerton Academy traveled to Dover High School for a Division I baseball contest that concluded with a 5‑0 win for the visitors.
The game opened with Pinkerton scoring two runs in the first inning, and the team added three more in the third, building a comfortable lead that they never relinquished.
Mason Matuszak delivered a complete game on the mound, striking out five and walking two, while Bjorn Miller and Ethan Trufant collected hits for Dover.
With the victory, Pinkerton improves to 14‑4 on the season, while Dover slides to 15‑4; the two clubs are scheduled to meet again on Wednesday, May 27, when Dover hosts Goffstown at Spaulding High School to close out the regular slate.
In girls lacrosse, Pinkerton posted a 12‑8 triumph over Division II Winnacunnet, keeping its momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
Winnacunnet’s offense was anchored by McKinley Fowler, Ari Rizzo and Hannah Curtin, each recording two goals, while Elle Emery contributed a goal and an assist and Emily Arlington also found the back of the net.
Between the pipes, goaltender Benten Lyford made 14 saves, helping to keep the game competitive despite the final margin.
