Memorial Stadium, the iconic venue that has hosted generations of Missouri Tigers football, is gearing up to mark its 100th year of operation during the 2026 season. The milestone will be officially recognized in Week 3, when the Tigers host Troy on September 19, a date that the athletics department has earmarked as the stadium’s 100th Anniversary Game.
Centennial Game Against Troy
The September 19 contest will serve as the centerpiece of the centennial festivities, offering fans a chance to be part of a historic moment on the field. Special recognitions, commemorative moments and fan activations will be announced later this summer, alongside a line of limited‑edition memorabilia and exclusive merchandise collections.
A $250 million renovation is already underway, with work on the north concourse and a new premium seating section above Faurot Field’s north end zone progressing ahead of the 2026 kickoff. Construction began with a groundbreaking ceremony in November 2024 and has continued through the offseason, adding upgrades to the east and west concourse and setting the stage for a modernized fan experience.
Missouri will open its 2026 home slate on Thursday, September 3, against Arkansas‑Pine‑Bluff, before a series of high‑profile matchups that include Florida on October 3, Texas A&M on October 10, Texas on November 7, Kentucky on November 21 and Oklahoma on November 28. The Tigers will also travel to face Kansas on September 11, Mississippi State on September 26, Ole Miss on October 17, Arkansas on October 31 and Georgia on November 14.
Head coach Eli Drinkwitz, now in his seventh year at the helm, will guide the team through a schedule that blends tradition with new challenges. Athletic director Laird Veatch has said that any announcement regarding a corporate naming rights partnership is not expected before the end of the year, leaving the stadium’s traditional name intact for the centennial celebration.
