The Tennessee high school baseball Division I postseason is moving into its next phase, with sectional series now scheduled across the Nashville region. The matchups determine which squads advance to the state tournament in Murfreesboro.
In Class 4A, traditional powers Hendersonville and Shelbyville meet in a best‑of‑three series that opens on Thursday, April 25, at 7 p.m. at Glencliff High School. The second game follows two days later at the same venue, with a potential third contest slated for Saturday, April 27.
Cookeville travels to face Beech in another 4A showdown, while Nolensville takes on Siegel in a clash that promises late‑inning drama. Additional 4A pairings include Riverdale versus Ravenwood, Collierville against Dickson County, and Clarksville versus Houston, each with their own date and time slots.
Class 3A features Watertown versus Heritage, Alcoa against Macon County, Battle Creek up against Liberty Creek, and MLK taking on Lawrence County. The series are spread across multiple sites, with Game 1 typically scheduled for weekday evenings and Game 2 later in the week.
The 2A bracket pits Westmoreland against Smith County, Marion County versus White House Heritage, and Huntingdon up against Cascade. These matchups often take place at local high school fields, with times adjusted for evening play.
Class 1A includes Trousdale County versus Sale Creek, South Pittsburg against Gordonsville, Hollow Rock‑Bruceton versus Richland, and Eagleville against McKenzie. The smaller schools often play on Saturday mornings, with the final games of the weekend determining regional representatives.
