Southeast Missouri State University's women's basketball program has announced the hiring of two new assistant coaches who will join the staff for the 2026‑27 season.
Regina Garrett, a native of Dallas, Texas, comes to Cape Girardeau after three successful seasons at South Carolina State University, where she helped shape a competitive roster that included nine All‑Region selections and a NJCAA First Team All‑American.
Prior to her tenure at South Carolina State, Garrett served as an assistant at Moberly Area Community College, a stint that culminated in a 55‑10 overall record and highlighted her ability to develop talent at the junior‑college level.
Garrett's coaching journey began at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute, laying a foundation of experience that she has continued to build across multiple programs.
Lexxus Graham, hailing from Winchester, Kentucky, brings a blend of playing experience and coaching acumen to the role. She spent the previous season as an assistant at Western Kentucky University and previously contributed to Bowling Green State University's staff.
During her time at Bowling Green, Graham was part of a coaching unit that earned North Coast Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors, underscoring her collaborative impact.
Graham also excelled as a collegiate player at Campbellsville University, appearing in more than 130 games and earning a place on the Mid‑South Conference All‑Academic Team in her senior year.
The additions of Garrett and Graham are expected to reinforce the Redhawks' recruiting pipelines in Texas, the Carolinas and the broader Midwest, while also enriching the team's tactical depth.
