Two members of the 2026 Washington College baseball squad have been celebrated as All-Region selections, earning spots on teams announced by both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Kinsey’s Record-Setting Senior Campaign
Drew Kinsey, a recent graduate who completed his senior season for the Shoremen, received first-team honors from D3baseball.com and second-team recognition from the ABCA in Region 5. He set a school record with 60 runs scored, broke the walk record with 37, and stole 29 bases while posting a .510 on-base percentage. Kinsey also hit .347 with eight home runs, 34 RBI and added 10 doubles and three triples, finishing his career with a .330 average, 31 homers, 109 RBI and 137 runs.
Rising sophomore Brett Connolly matched Kinsey’s acclaim, earning ABCA All-Region V first-team and D3baseball.com second-team accolades. He established program bests with 67 hits and 125 total bases, batting .409 and slugging .762 for an OPS of 1.211. Connolly scored 49 runs, drove in 10 doubles, stole 13 bases and posted a .449 on-base rate across 40 games. His freshman home run total of 12 set a conference mark, and his 67 hits tied the Centennial Conference freshman record.
The twin honors underscore a sustained tradition of regional excellence for the Shoremen, who since 2011 have produced 12 ABCA all-region selections and 10 D3baseball.com honorees, reflecting the program’s consistent development of top talent.
