Warriors Spring Season Preview
The Plumas Charter School Warriors softball and baseball teams have entered their spring campaigns with a blend of optimism and determination. Under the guidance of coaches Ashlyn and Tristen Clark, the softball squad opened the season with a 29‑11 victory over Community Options for Resources in Education Butte Charter School, setting a strong tone. Meanwhile, the baseball side, led by Kaley Bentz and Ted McDonald, has faced a rigorous early schedule that has tested both its offense and defense.
Key contributors are already emerging. In the softball circle, Amaiya Beatty boasts a .667 batting average and a .720 on‑base percentage, while Kenley Neer sits at a .600 average and Lucy Joseph leads the team with ten stolen bases. Jaycee Pew added a home run and contributed both at the plate and in the circle, underscoring the depth of talent on the roster.
Baseball Highlights
The baseball team has also shown flashes of promise. Dalton Bentz leads the squad with a .444 average, nine RBIs and a 1.00 ERA on the mound, and Logan Mille maintains a .353 average at the plate. On the pitching staff, Liam Schramel posts a 1.17 ERA, and Zac Smith provides valuable innings, including three RBIs. Defensive improvements are evident, with Bodie Kingdon and Dalton Bentz posting strong fielding percentages.
Despite early losses to Arcata High School, Trinity High School and Weed High School, the Warriors remain focused on growth. Their coaches emphasize representing Plumas Charter School with pride while continuing to refine skills against tough opponents.
