Road to the Championship
Pridham’s tournament‑leading fourth goal pushed the Rangers ahead 3‑1, but Chicoutimi fought back. Emile Ricard and Mavrick Lachance each found the net for the Sagueneens, with Lachance narrowing the gap with just over three minutes remaining.
Goalie O’Reilly made it 2‑0 for Kitchener at 3:57 of the second period, and despite the late push, the Rangers held on to finish round‑robin play with a perfect 3‑0 record, having also defeated Kelowna and Everett earlier in the tournament.
With the final looming, Kitchener will meet the winner of the other semifinal in what promises to be a high‑stakes showdown. The team’s depth, highlighted by contributions from players such as Christian Kirsch, Lucas Beckman, Jordan Tourigny and Christian Humphreys, positions them as strong contenders.
