St. Thomas Aquinas Baseball Secures 6-0 Victory, Extends Winning Streak

The Saints finish the regular season at 14-5, positioning themselves for a deep Division II tournament run

A Season Defined by Pitching and Unity

St. Thomas Aquinas High School closed out its regular season with a 6-0 triumph over Oyster River, completing a five-game winning streak that lifted the Saints to 14-5 overall. The victory, played under bright New Hampshire skies, underscored a team that has turned early-season promise into a tangible championship mindset.

Coach Eric Wells praised the collective effort, noting that improvements in pitching, hitting and defensive reliability have been the cornerstones of the turnaround. Beckett Farrand delivered a stellar five-inning outing, surrendering just one hit while striking out five, and Camden Stowell sealed the game with two shutout innings.

The offense was equally balanced. Brandon Skowron drove in two runs during a four-run second inning, while Colin Healy added a hit and an RBI. Contributions from Gabe Carlisle, Finn Perry, Hayden White and Connal Ciaschini spread the load, making the lineup difficult for opponents to contain.

Oyster River, despite slipping to 12-5, remains focused on the playoffs. Coach Cam Calato acknowledged the Saints’ execution, emphasizing that his team will use the loss as a catalyst for adjustments before the Division II tournament begins on June 3.

With unofficial rankings placing Hollis-Brookline at No. 1, followed by Kingswood, St. Thomas Aquinas, Hanover and Oyster River, the Saints see an opportunity to earn a coveted bye. Beckett Farrand expressed confidence that the team’s chemistry and trust will carry them through the postseason.
