Grace Stone Returns to Princeton Women’s Basketball as Director of Operations

The former All-Conference player brings a distinguished playing career and professional experience back to her alma mater

A Homecoming for a Record-Setting Alum

Grace Stone, a Princeton University alumna whose name still echoes through the Tigers’ record books, has been appointed Director of Basketball Operations for the university’s women’s basketball program.

Stone’s collegiate career was marked by back-to-back All-Conference honors, a top-three finish in games played in school history, and a place among the top five in free-throw accuracy. She finished with 807 points and 408 rebounds, numbers that still rank among the program’s all-time leaders.

Before turning to coaching, she honed her skills overseas, competing professionally in Australia and Finland, where she continued to showcase the versatility and work ethic that defined her at Princeton.

Fans may also recall her clutch performance in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, when she drained the game-winning three-pointer against NC State, a moment that cemented her reputation as a competitor in high-stakes moments.

Head coach Lauren Gosselin welcomed Stone’s return, emphasizing that her blend of playing experience, professional insight, and passion for the program will be a major factor as the team looks ahead.

Gosselin noted that Stone’s impact will extend beyond the court, shaping strategy, player development, and the overall culture of the squad, and expressed confidence that the new role will translate into meaningful contributions on and off the hardwood.
