Troy University’s soccer program received a boost as head coach Jake Wyman unveiled the first freshman signing class for the upcoming season.
The eight newcomers hail from a spread of regions, including Texas, Washington, Tennessee, South Carolina, California and Canada, bringing a mix of geographic diversity and athletic pedigree.
A talent‑laden freshman cohort
Wyman said the group aligns with the Trojans’ vision of competitive spirit and academic character, expressing confidence that the newcomers will contribute immediately.
Among them, Aiden Bailey from Fort Worth, Texas, arrives with a record 107 career goals at Arlington Heights High School, having earned All‑District honors four times and been named district MVP as a sophomore and senior.
Braelyn Carey, a Washington native from Lakewood, was crowned Tacoma Athletic Commission Athlete of the Year and amassed 72 goals with 165 assists during her high school career.
Isla Boyle, representing North Vancouver, British Columbia, distinguished herself across three sports — soccer, basketball and baseball — before committing to soccer at Troy.
Brooke Ogorek of Lexington, South Carolina, garnered All‑State recognition as a senior, while Irene Torres from Montclair, California, collected Offensive Player of the Year honors twice and earned All‑League First‑Team accolades for three consecutive years.
Mallorie Springs hails from Gallatin, Tennessee, where she captured a regional track championship in the sprints, and Emerson Clarke of Knoxville, Tennessee, helped Webb School of Knoxville secure back‑to‑back state titles.
Coach Wyman emphasized that each recruit not only brings statistical achievements but also a character profile that matches Troy’s standards, promising a competitive and cohesive squad.
The incoming class is expected to enrich the Trojans’ attack and depth, setting the stage for a promising season as the team integrates these fresh talents.
