Entitlement Partnership Takes Center Stage
United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental company, has been named the entitlement partner for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race scheduled for June 20, 2026, at Naval Base Coronado. The event will be called the United Rentals Driven to Serve 250 and forms the centerpiece of the inaugural NASCAR San Diego Weekend, a celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy.
A Circuit Steeped in Naval Heritage
The race will be contested on a unique 16‑turn, 3.4‑mile circuit laid out on the base’s Qualcomm‑branded track, a layout that blends high‑speed straights with technical sections designed to test both car and driver. This marks the first time a NASCAR national series will run on a course built aboard a naval installation, underscoring the partnership’s emphasis on military communities.

NASCAR San Diego President Amy Lupo praised United Rentals for embodying the values of service, teamwork and operational excellence that resonate with both the sport and the Navy. “Their commitment to supporting major events with industry‑leading equipment and service aligns perfectly with our vision for a weekend that honors our naval heritage while delivering world‑class racing,” she said.

Community Celebration and Public Access
The weekend will kick off on June 19 with Navy Community Day, an invitation‑only gathering for active‑duty Navy members and Coronado residents that highlights United Rentals’ dedication to military families. The following two days will open the base to the general public, offering fans the chance to experience both the United Rentals Driven to Serve 250 and the accompanying Anduril 250 Race the Base.
