A Modern Home for Jaguar Basketball
Indiana University‑Indianapolis (IU Indianapolis) Department of Athletics announced that it is now accepting deposits for the 2026‑27 basketball season at the newly constructed James T. Morris Arena. The $110 million facility, designed as a multipurpose venue, will accommodate approximately 4,000 spectators and will serve as the home court for the university's Jaguars.
Prospective season‑ticket holders can reserve their seats by submitting a $25 nonrefundable deposit per seat. The deposit will be applied toward the total cost of the tickets once purchases are finalized, giving fans a clear financial pathway to secure their preferred locations.
Seat selection will take place over the summer, providing a window for supporters to choose specific seats before the official assignment process. This approach aims to give fans ample time to consider their options while the university finalizes the arena’s seating plan.
What This Means for the Fan Experience
The deposit model reflects IU Indianapolis’s commitment to blending modern amenities with an accessible, fan‑first philosophy. By keeping the entry cost modest, the university hopes to attract a growing base of basketball enthusiasts to the new venue while ensuring that the arena can comfortably host its projected audience.
