The University of North Texas Mean Green football program unveiled its 2026 slate of broadcast details, confirming start times and network partners for seven of the upcoming season’s contests.
The season will open on the road against the defending national champion Indiana on September 5, with kickoff set for 11:00 a.m. Central Time, airing live on FOX.
A week later, the Mean Green will host UNLV at DATCU Stadium on September 12, with a 2:45 p.m. Central start and coverage on ESPNU.
North Texas will then travel to face Texas State on September 19, with an 11:00 a.m. Central kickoff and a broadcast on USA Network.
The non‑conference schedule wraps up at home against Houston Christian on September 26, slated for a 6:30 p.m. Central start and streaming on ESPN+.
Two Thursday night games are also on the horizon: a matchup with Tulsa on October 1 at 8:00 p.m. Central on ESPN, followed by a contest with Florida Atlantic on October 29 at 6:30 p.m. Central, which will be shown on either ESPN or ESPN2.
The final non‑conference game arrives on October 24, when the Mean Green travel to Annapolis, Maryland, to meet Navy on CBS Sports Network at 2:30 p.m. Central (3:30 p.m. Eastern).
