A Milestone Season for the Tritons
UC San Diego women's soccer head coach Kristin Jones has unveiled the 2026 competition schedule, marking the program's final year in the Big West Conference.
The slate comprises 19 regular‑season matches spread across four states, with the Tritons slated to host ten home games at Triton Soccer Stadium in La Jolla.
The season opens on August 12 at home against San Diego State, and the opening weekend continues with a matchup versus Utah Tech on August 15 before the team hits the road for its first away game at UNLV on August 20.
Non‑conference play will see the Tritons face three consecutive opponents that earned NCAA tournament berths in 2025, including a trip to Boise State on September 3 and a visit to Northern Arizona on August 23.
September brings the final stretch of non‑conference competition, highlighted by matches at Boise State on September 3, a home game against North Alabama on September 6, and a showdown with future conference foe LMU on September 14.
The Big West will shift to a Wednesday‑Saturday format for conference play, beginning with a home contest against Utah Valley on September 26 and culminating in a series of road trips that include visits to CSUN, California Baptist, and others.
October’s schedule features home games against defending champion Cal Poly on October 3 and newcomer Sacramento State on October 14, followed by a series of away matches that round out the regular season.
The regular season will conclude on October 31 with a home game against UC Irvine, setting the stage for the Big West Championship, which begins on November 4 and culminates on November 11; the champion earns an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.
