Alabama’s 2027 football recruiting class is shaping up to be more modest than the haul of recent years, with Coach Kalen DeBoer steering the effort toward a concentrated focus on in-state prospects.
DeBoer has repeatedly underscored that the state’s talent pool is the foundation of the program’s future, promising that the Crimson Tide will prioritize the best local players over sheer volume.
Quarterback Commitments
The class already boasts two quarterbacks who have pledged to the university: Elijah Haven and Trent Seaborn, both of whom bring dual-threat capabilities that align with the Tide’s offensive vision.
Backfield and Receiver Targets
At running back, the staff is eyeing Nigel Newkirk, Trey Martin and Tai Phillips as potential additions, while the wide-receiver corps could see commitments from Monshun Sales and Xavier Sabb, two of the state’s most highly rated prospects.
Other Position Groups
The tight-end room will welcome Colt Lumpris and Oakley Keegan, and the offensive line appears fully stocked, eliminating the immediate need for additional linemen. Defensive line remains a priority, with two three-star commits already secured, and the linebacker corps is slated for a revival as the coaching staff courts several high-profile names.
