Wesleyan Baseball Secures Sixth State Championship
The Wesleyan Wolves capped an extraordinary season with a decisive 14‑1 victory over Holy Innocents' Episcopal School in the state championship game, delivering the program’s sixth title in school history.
Senior Ryley Webb was the catalyst, delivering a single, a double, a triple and driving in five runs, while the lineup generated 14 hits and drew seven walks, overwhelming the opposition’s pitching.
Wolves’ defense shone as well, turning two double plays and making several key outfield grabs, limiting Holy Innocents' chances despite their five errors.
The win sealed a 22‑8 record, marking the first championship since 2018 and prompting a celebration among students and fans who gathered on campus to cheer the team.
