ACC Reveals 2026‑27 Men’s Basketball Schedule and Greensboro Tournament Lineup

18‑game slate, partner pairings and March championship set for North Carolina

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the complete matchups for the 2026‑27 men’s basketball season, confirming an 18‑game schedule that begins in late December and wraps up on the first Saturday of March.

Schedule Format

Each program will face a designated primary partner and a variable partner on both home and road courts, while also meeting one opponent from the remaining fourteen schools each year, creating a balanced and regionalized slate.

For Virginia Tech, the home‑only opponents include Clemson, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, SMU and Syracuse, while the away‑only opponents consist of California, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Pitt, Stanford and Wake Forest. The Hokies will also play their traditional rival Virginia on both sides of the court, and Boston College serves as the team’s variable partner for the season. Notably, Duke will not appear on Virginia Tech’s schedule.

Greensboro Championship

The 2027 T. Rowe Price ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament will feature the top fifteen teams after the regular season, taking place from March 9 to March 13 in Greensboro, North Carolina. This marks the thirtieth edition of the event in the city, and the bracket will be released on Saturday, March 6, following the conclusion of regular‑season play.

Conference officials say the new format is designed to deepen regional rivalries and provide balanced competitive opportunities across the league, setting the stage for an exciting conclusion to the regular season.
