Savannah Harmon, a former World Champion with Team USA and a longtime member of the Professional Women’s Hockey League, has officially retired from professional hockey.
In a heartfelt statement she thanked her teammates, coaches, staff and the fans who supported her journey, noting that the sport has given her countless memories.
Harmon’s résumé includes two gold medals at the IIHF Women’s World Championships, a silver medal from the 2022 Beijing Olympics and two NCAA titles earned during her collegiate career.
A Legacy of International Success
The Ontario native was selected fifth overall in the inaugural 2023 PWHL Draft, first playing for the Ottawa Charge before being traded to the Toronto Sceptres, where she continued to showcase her two‑way talent.
Describing her departure as saying goodbye to a huge part of her life, Harmon said she is eager to explore the next chapter, whatever it may hold.
Her contributions have left an indelible mark on the growth of women’s hockey in North America, inspiring a new generation of players.
