Rob DePersia has been appointed as the head coach of the Rowan University men’s basketball program, bringing a full‑circle story that blends his playing legacy with years of top‑level coaching experience.

A Homecoming for a Rising Leader

A 2019 graduate of Rowan, DePersia starred for the Profs as a four‑year starter and three‑year captain, amassing 1,004 points and ranking second all‑time in assists. He was a key member of the 2019 NJAC Championship team, and his twin brother Nick helped lead the squad to that title.

His coaching résumé includes five seasons at Villanova University, a stint as video coordinator at Fordham, and a recent role as lead assistant at the University of New Haven, where he honed his strategic and developmental skills.

DePersia holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Rowan and a master’s in business administration from Villanova, underscoring a blend of technical acumen and leadership training.
