Bowling Green State University announced that Todd Simon, the head coach of its men’s basketball program, has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the helm through March 31, 2030.
The new deal comes on the heels of an 18‑14 season in which the Falcons captured fifth place in the Mid‑American Conference and advanced to the quarterfinals before falling to Toledo.
Over his first three seasons, Simon has compiled a 52‑46 record, the most victories by a BGSU men’s basketball coach in that span, and the team has qualified for the MAC tournament in each of those years.

Simon took the opportunity to thank Athletic Director Derek van der Merwe and University President Rodney Rogers for their unwavering support and belief in the program’s direction.
He also highlighted the sustainable infrastructure that has been built over the past three years, a foundation he says will enable continued growth and competitiveness.
The extension reflects a shared commitment to elevating the Falcons’ profile both on and off the court, and it sets the stage for what the administration hopes will be a sustained period of success.
