CSUN Men’s Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule with NCAA Powerhouses

The Matadors' slate features exhibition matches, a tough road trip, and a championship showdown in November.

California State University, Northridge announced its 2026 men’s soccer schedule, laying out a 17‑match slate that blends home‑field advantage with a rigorous non‑conference slate.

The campaign will open with three exhibition fixtures before the regular‑season debut at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on August 20, a venue that promises a hostile environment for the Matadors.

A demanding non‑conference road trip

The first home appearance follows a week later, when The Master's University visits the Matador Soccer Field on August 27, kicking off a stretch that will see the team host ten games on its familiar turf.

Among the highlights are contests against traditional powerhouses such as Stanford, Grand Canyon, and San Diego State, each of which pits the Matadors against NCAA tournament‑qualified opponents.

The regular season will wrap up on the road against UC Santa Barbara on October 31, after which the Big West tournament will commence with championship matches slated for November 7 and 14.

Head coach Terry Davila, now in his 28th year at the helm, returns with a wealth of experience, having guided the program through a 6‑6‑6 overall record and a 1‑5‑3 mark in conference play the previous season.

With a blend of seasoned leadership and a demanding schedule, the Matadors aim to translate early challenges into momentum as they chase a Big West title.
