On May 28, the ASUN Conference will welcome Whitney Knight into its Hall of Fame, recognizing a career that blended dominance on the court with trailblazing firsts for the Eagles.
Knight’s collegiate tenure from 2011 to 2016 at Florida Gulf Coast University saw her emerge as the program’s most decorated player, earning two ASUN Player of the Year awards and a place on the ASUN All‑Decade Team.
Her impact resonated beyond conference play, culminating in a historic moment when the Los Angeles Sparks selected her 15th overall in the 2016 WNBA Draft, making her the first Eagle ever drafted into the league.
Knight finished her senior season atop the ASUN in blocks, steals and three‑point shooting, while her career totals of 1,574 points and 735 rebounds placed her among the program’s all‑time greats.
