Campbell University’s football program is set to kick off its 2026 campaign with a slate of games that blend tradition with new challenges.
The highlight of the schedule is a September 12 showdown against the University of Florida, a matchup that will mark the Camels’ first ever contest against an SEC opponent.
A historic first: Campbell vs. Florida
The game is slated for 5:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally on SECN+, broadcasting live from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida.
Just a week earlier, the Camels will travel to East Tennessee State University in Johnson City for their season‑opening game on August 29, before returning home to face Western Carolina on September 5.
Season tickets for all home games are now on sale, with a new pricing structure that reflects the university’s recent investments in facilities and fan experience.
Looking ahead
Coach Mike DeVries expressed confidence that the non‑conference slate will provide valuable early‑season testing as the team fine‑tunes its offense and defense.
Fans can expect a vibrant atmosphere at the home opener, where the university plans to showcase new stadium upgrades and community outreach initiatives.
