Southeastern Louisiana University’s women’s basketball program has been celebrated by the Southland Conference for its outstanding performance in the classroom as well as on the court.
A Season of Distinction
During the 2025‑26 campaign the Lady Lions posted a competitive record, playing all 29 games and securing key victories that highlighted their depth and resilience. The team’s success was matched by academic excellence, as the conference recognized five players for their scholarship standards.
Mia Ramos, a standout guard, carried a 3.97 cumulative GPA while averaging 8.2 points per game and appearing in every contest. Her consistency helped anchor a lineup that relied on disciplined execution and smart shot selection.
Eryn McKinzie matched academic rigor with a 3.72 GPA and led the squad in scoring with 9.9 points per game, also pulling down a team‑high 5.0 rebounds. Her all‑around contributions exemplified the blend of intellect and athleticism the conference seeks to honor.
Natalie Huff, noted for her defensive instincts, posted a 3.55 GPA and ranked ninth across the Southland with 1.8 steals per game, a testament to her quick hands and anticipation.
Seniors Taylor Wilkins and Erynn Williams rounded out the academic honorees, each maintaining GPAs above 3.5 while delivering memorable performances — Wilkins with a season‑high 15 points and Williams anchoring the defense with relentless pressure.
University and Conference Recognition
