Owen Fischl, a standout student-athlete at DeSales University, has been selected to the All-ECAC First-Team, adding to a growing list of accolades that highlight an extraordinary senior season.
The accolade follows a string of national recognitions, including a spot on the D3Baseball.com All-America Third-Team and the All-MAC Freedom First-Team, as well as selections to the D3Baseball.com and ABCA All-Region First-Team.
Stat line that turned heads
Fischl finished the campaign with a .405 batting average, tallying 60 hits while scoring 59 runs. He cracked seven home runs and drove in a school-record 63 runs, underscoring his ability to produce in clutch situations.
His on-base percentage of .553 and 39 walks reflected a disciplined approach at the plate, while 14 doubles and 13 stolen bases added extra dimensions to his game.
Beyond the numbers, teammates and coaches point to Fischl’s leadership as a catalyst for the program’s recent surge, noting his work ethic and willingness to mentor younger players.
The honors come as the university celebrates a historic season, with the athlete’s record-breaking RBI total setting a new benchmark for future Generals.
