A pivotal weekend for the Badgers
The University of Wisconsin is opening its doors to a wave of official visitors this weekend, with as many as 19 prospects expected to tour the campus. The group includes 13 athletes who have already pledged to the program, underscoring the momentum behind the Badgers' 2026 recruiting class.
Coaching staff and analysts alike view the weekend as a make-or-break moment for a class that could finish anywhere from the mid‑20s to the low‑30s nationally. The stakes are heightened by the presence of several three‑star standouts who remain on the fence.
Among them, defensive back Royalton Allen from California has emerged as a top priority. After receiving an offer earlier this month, Allen has scheduled an official visit and has indicated that his decision will be announced in July. He is currently weighing Wisconsin against BYU and Colorado State, both of which remain strong contenders.
Wide receiver Steele Harris, a Montana native, is also on the itinerary. Harris is slated to make his second visit to Madison this weekend before a follow‑up trip next week, and he is reportedly deciding between the Badgers and the University of California.
Linebacker Nathan Jones is another name drawing attention. He is currently focused solely on Wisconsin, and his commitment would add a second linebacker to the class, reinforcing the defense’s depth.
The visit schedule also comes on the heels of a recent commitment from Keaton Wollan, who has already secured a spot in the Badgers’ roster, further bolstering the class’s perceived strength.
