Midwest Flag Football Teams Converge at Lambeau Field
Dozens of youth and high school squads from across the Midwest have gathered for the NFL FLAG Regional Tournament, an event that transforms the historic Lambeau Field into a bustling hub of competition and community.
Teams representing Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Kansas compete in a variety of age‑based divisions, including 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and a dedicated 12U Girls bracket, ensuring that players of all skill levels have a chance to shine.
The tournament’s kickoff celebration will take place at Titletown from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, where squads will be introduced on the field and participants will tackle a series of skill challenges designed to test speed, agility and precision.
One of the tournament’s highlights is a photo opportunity with Green Bay Packers linebacker Zaire Franklin, giving young athletes a chance to meet a current NFL star and capture the moment.
Games will be staged on Ray Nitschke Field and inside the Don Hutson Center, venues that offer ample bleacher seating for families and fans eager to cheer on their hometown heroes.
Victorious teams in each division earn a coveted bid to the NFL FLAG Championship in Westfield, Indiana, scheduled for July, where they will face champions from other regions in a national showdown.
In addition to the championship berth, the Packers have pledged a $5,000 travel grant to each winning squad, helping offset the costs of transportation and lodging for the upcoming event.
The awards ceremony is slated to begin around 1:30 p.m., promising a festive conclusion to a weekend that blends sport, camaraderie and the spirit of competition.
