Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will honor the late Kyle Busch with a distinctive paint scheme at the NASCAR Cup Series Cracker Barrel 400 in Nashville.
A visual homage on the track
The design mirrors the livery Busch made famous during his final full‑time season, featuring the same bold colors and sponsor logos that defined his presence in the O'Reilly's Auto Parts Series.
Busch passed away on May 21, a loss that resonated throughout the racing community and prompted tributes from drivers, fans, and teams alike.
The tribute comes after a turbulent episode at the 2024 NASCAR All‑Star Race, where Stenhouse and Busch collided on lap two at North Wilkesboro Speedway, leading to a physical altercation, fines, and a brief suspension for Stenhouse’s father.
Despite the heated encounter, the two drivers later reconciled their differences, and Stenhouse now sees the upcoming race as an opportunity to celebrate Busch’s legacy rather than dwell on past conflict.
Stenhouse will pilot the No. 47 NOS Energy Chevrolet for Hyak Motorsports, a partnership that underscores the importance of the sponsor in both drivers’ histories, with NOS Energy having backed Busch in 22 victories across the O'Reilly's Auto Parts Series.
The race, scheduled for May 31, will take place at the historic Nashville Superspeedway, a venue that draws thousands of fans eager to witness this heartfelt gesture on the track.
