The Conference of New England (CNE) recently unveiled its 2026 baseball all‑conference teams, and the Hartford Hawks emerged as the most heavily represented program, with nine players earning spots across the first, second and third teams.
The selections reflect a season in which the Hawks combined dominant pitching with a potent lineup, underscoring the program’s resurgence under head coach Danbury.
Nine Honorees Highlight a Historic Season
Michael Featherstone, Jeremy Mangiameli, Jackson Ciccone, Anthony Bubba, Alek Popovich, Joe Dooley, Cameron Boardman, John Russell and Julian Rondon were all named to the CNE all‑conference squads, a testament to the program’s depth.
Featherstone earned first‑team honors with a 2.84 ERA over 25.1 innings, while Mangiameli matched the accolade with a .357/.449/.548 slash line and 33 RBIs.
Pitching Excellence and Offensive Firepower
Ciccone and Popovich secured second‑team spots, posting .359/.427/.508 and .331/.378/.526 lines respectively, while Bubba’s 8‑2 record and 3.42 ERA highlighted the pitching staff.
Dooley, Russell and Rondon rounded out the third‑team selections with ERAs of 2.17, 3.90 and records that contributed to the team’s overall success.
These performances blend high‑octane hitting with reliable pitching, positioning the Hawks as a competitive force in upcoming regional tournaments.
