USC’s men’s basketball program endured a lackluster 2025‑26 campaign, finishing well below expectations. In response, the athletic department has overhauled the roster, bringing in fresh talent and coaching resources ahead of the 2026‑27 season.
Conference Landscape
The Trojans will meet West Coast counterparts UCLA, Oregon and Washington twice apiece during the conference slate, while the remaining fourteen Big Ten members await them once each, split evenly between home and road venues.
Home games will include contests against Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin, giving the crowd at the Galen Center a varied slate of opponents.
On the road, USC will travel to face Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Rutgers, testing the team against a diverse set of environments.
The broader rotation policy ensures that every Big Ten institution hosts USC at least once every two years and that the Trojans visit each venue at least every other season. A full slate, encompassing both conference and non‑conference matchups, will be unveiled later this year.
