A Historic Raffle
The American Truck Historical Society has launched a raffle to raise funds for its Building Maintenance Campaign, a effort aimed at preserving the organization’s headquarters and sustaining its mission of documenting trucking heritage.
The prize package consists of two VIP tickets to the NASCAR Cup Series race scheduled for September 27 at Kansas Speedway, granting the winner premium access to the event’s festivities.
Raffle tickets are available for $5 each and can be purchased at the Society’s headquarters in Kansas City or through booths at the upcoming ATHS National Convention and Truck Show.
The drawing will take place on Friday, June 5, during the ATHS Awards Banquet, adding a ceremonial highlight to the convention’s program.
Celebrating a Century of Route 66
The convention itself runs from June 2 through June 6 at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri, a city that serves as a historic hub along the iconic Route 66 corridor, which is commemorating its 100th anniversary this year.
Attendees can expect a full schedule of hands‑on demonstrations, vendor exhibits, and memorabilia displays that showcase the evolution of the trucking industry, making the event a must‑see for enthusiasts and the general public alike.
Spectator gate passes are priced at $15 for ATHS members and $20 for non‑members, while children aged 12 and under are admitted free of charge, encouraging families to join the celebration.
