The 2026 football campaign will see South Dakota State featured in two marquee televised contests that underscore the program’s growing prominence.
One of those contests will pit the Jackrabbits against Northwestern on the Big Ten Network, bringing a historic rivalry to viewers across the Midwest.
The other marquee matchup is the annual Interstate Series game against South Dakota, which will be carried by ESPN as part of the Missouri Valley Football Conference’s television package.
The game at Martin Stadium in Evanston, Illinois, is slated for a 7 p.m. kickoff, while the Oct. 31 showdown at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium will have its exact start time and network designation announced later.
The season will open on Aug. 29 with a home game against Stetson, giving fans an early glimpse of the team’s preparations.
This will mark the Jackrabbits’ 14th consecutive appearance in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs, a streak that reflects the program’s consistency and ambition.
