Jordan Polk, a senior forward from Warren Central High School, has been honored as The Vicksburg Post’s girls soccer Player of the Year for Warren County for the second straight season.
She finished the campaign with 41 goals and added 12 assists, helping the Lady Vikes finish 14‑7‑1 and reach the MHSAA Class 6A semifinals for the third consecutive year.
Over her high school career Polk amassed a school‑record 120 goals, a tally that includes at least 20 scores in each of her final three seasons and a remarkable 37 assists over the past three years.
Coach Jeremy Lawrence praised Polk’s soccer IQ and leadership, noting that she contributed to more than a third of the team’s 143 goals during the season.
Looking Ahead
After originally committing to Itawamba Community College, Polk reopened her recruitment following a coaching change and ultimately decided to continue her education and playing career at Hinds Community College.
