BSAC Hosts Hockey Suite Experience for Families of Fallen Heroes

A special evening at Amerant Bank Arena brought together community members, first responders, and the Florida Panthers.

The Broward Sheriff's Advisory Council (BSAC) turned a regular game night into a heartfelt tribute, inviting families of fallen heroes, first responders and community partners to experience a private Club Level suite at Amerant Bank Arena.

A Night of Remembrance

Under the bright lights, the Florida Panthers edged the Seattle Kraken in a dramatic 5‑4 shootout, but the real victory was the sense of camaraderie that filled the arena.

Valerie Silverman, Executive Director of BSAC, highlighted the organization’s mission to foster relationships and community support that extend beyond financial aid.

Dawn Rengifo, whose husband was a fallen officer, expressed deep gratitude for the friendships and solidarity she has found through BSAC events.

The evening also featured a meet‑and‑greet with Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov, alongside mascots Stanley C. Panther and Viktor E. Ratt, creating moments that will linger long after the final whistle.

Brent Campbell, Vice Chairman of the BSAC board, thanked the Florida Panthers organization for making the experience possible, underscoring the power of partnership.

BSAC continues to champion its initiatives for families of fallen heroes and first responders, reinforcing a network of support throughout Broward County.
