Quaker Valley Golf Outing Aims to Fuel 2026 Season

Community fundraiser set for July 24 at Beaver Valley Golf Course

A Fundraiser on the Fairway

On July 24, the Quaker Valley Football and Cheer program will gather at Beaver Valley Golf Course in Patterson Heights for a charity golf outing designed to bolster the finances of the 2026 season. The event blends recreation with fundraising, featuring a full round of golf, meals, prize giveaways and a structured sponsorship program.

Participants can sign up individually for $125 per golfer or commit to a foursome for $500, a package that bundles green fees, catering and prize entries. Organizers are actively seeking additional sponsors for individual golfers, hole-specific branding, raffle baskets and donated prizes, aiming to offset equipment and travel costs for the student‑athletes.

Beyond the financial upside, the outing underscores the broader role of community support in shaping the program. As Coach Tom Eshenbaugh notes, contributions from local businesses and families provide the equipment, travel opportunities and morale boost that allow the Quakers to compete at a higher level.

The team enters the new season with momentum. Last year the Quakers finished 4‑6, but the roster is expanding and many key players return with valuable varsity experience. Four of the five offensive linemen and the majority of skill position players have logged significant minutes on the field.

Tyler Cunnard, a 6‑foot‑2, 180‑pound offensive lineman/outside linebacker, believes the squad’s drive and cohesion will be decisive factors. “Our bond and work ethic are our biggest strengths,” he said, expressing confidence that the growing group will translate into on‑field progress.

With a clear fundraising target and a roster poised for improvement, the Quaker Valley community looks forward to a competitive 2026 campaign. The golf outing serves both as a financial catalyst and a celebration of the team’s spirit, reinforcing the symbiotic relationship between the program and its supporters.
