Mississippi Valley State University has named Arlo Henderson as the head coach of its first women’s flag football team, marking a decisive step toward expanding athletic opportunities for female students.
Henderson arrives with a résumé that spans multiple levels of the game, from elite youth programs to professional women’s tackle football, bringing a blend of technical acumen and motivational insight.
His career includes stints at Elite Football Academy and under the national Under Armour Under the Lights Flag Football platform, where he honed a reputation for developing talent and fostering competitive environments.
He also earned Coach of the Year honors in the Women’s Football Association Pro League and has worked alongside veteran coach Kenny Still, now part of the Chinese Olympic Team staff.
Most recently, Henderson was selected for the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, a testament to his commitment to inclusive leadership.
