A Night of Fireworks
On May 31, 2026, the University of Oklahoma baseball team traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, to meet The Citadel at Mac Nease Baseball Park, where the Sooners posted a 15‑5 victory.
The game got off to a fast start when Jason Walk crushed a solo homer in the first inning, giving Oklahoma an early lead.
Oklahoma’s third inning was a flurry of activity; Trey Gambill drew a walk and scored, Brendan Brock singled to drive in two runs, and Dasan Harris followed with a two‑run single that pushed the lead into double digits.
The fourth inning turned into a fireworks display. Deiten Lachance singled to center, driving in a run, and later Kyle Branch delivered a shallow left‑field single that plated another run. Christian Stratis then launched a two‑run homer to left, extending the advantage.
The offense kept rolling in the fifth, as Jaxon Willits singled through the right side and Brock added another RBI single, while the sixth inning saw Stratis double with a two‑run single to the middle of the infield.
