Mason Lopez, a senior shooting guard who starred at PSJA North High School in Texas, has officially committed to continue his basketball career at Missouri Valley College.
The announcement follows a standout senior season in which Lopez surpassed the 1,500‑point milestone, a testament to his consistency and scoring prowess over four years.
His achievements were recognized on the regional stage, earning him first‑team all‑district honors and a spot on the all‑defensive team, accolades that highlight both his offensive impact and his commitment to defense.
A Long‑Term Goal Realized
Lopez said that playing at the collegiate level has been one of his primary objectives since he first picked up a basketball, and the signing marks the culmination of years of dedication, training and academic planning.
The college’s coaching staff expressed enthusiasm about adding a player of Lopez’s caliber, noting that his work ethic and defensive versatility should contribute immediately to the team’s competitiveness.
Missouri Valley College, a private liberal arts institution located in Marshall, Minnesota, will welcome Lopez for the upcoming season, where he will join a roster that is looking to build on recent successes.
