Nate Louis has been appointed Recruiting Coordinator for the Charleston Southern men's basketball program, a promotion that reflects his eight‑year immersion in the team.
A New Chapter for the Buccaneers
Louis first joined the program as a player, later serving as video coordinator, director of basketball operations, and assistant coach, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the program's culture and strategy.
His impact is evident in player development and scouting, where he has helped guide post players who have set program records, including Reginald Duhart Jr., Reis Jones and Lase Olalere.
During the 2025–26 season the Buccaneers recorded a program‑best 156 blocked shots, with Louis's players contributing 81 percent of that total; Jones alone established a single‑season block record with 59 rejections.
Louis said he is excited about the new role and looks forward to bringing in more blue‑collar student‑athletes who embody a relentless work ethic.
He holds three college degrees — an AA in Pre‑Allied Health, a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and a Master's in Education — all earned from Charleston Southern University.
